Hastings Crossing BIA is an organization that takes a leadership role in managing change and shaping a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable local economy here in the Downtown Eastside. Through collaboration with its business members, grassroots, government, private sector and non-profit partners we bridge the needs of local businesses with the capacity of community focused organizations to foster a vibrant, healthy and diverse area for all – whether you’re here every day or just for the afternoon.
This event directly supports the Hastings Crossing BIA mandate to:
- Grow and stabilize local businesses within the Hastings corridor
- Increase foot traffic and bring new visitors into the area
- Strengthen community‑led relationships aligned with DTES Equity & Reconciliation priority
- Support entrepreneurship pathways, particularly for underrepresented communities

The Art Party, an incorporated BC nonprofit based in the Downtown Eastside (DTES), supports BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, and seniors 50+ communities through arts, culture, and community programming. We are partnering with The Basement, a new street‑level venue at 136 West Cordova (Woodward’s building), which features a 160‑person event space with a DJ booth.

The Art Party nonprofit is co-hosting community‑driven events that bring together founders, investors, creators, and innovators. It is a Google Local Guide Level 7 with photos and videos that have 32+ million views on Google Maps to benefit local venues in Vancouver, Canada.
